My Experience at the Mohamed Hoblos Event
Written By: Yusuf Fakih Grade 6, Full Time Hifdh Student
Br. Hoblos has always been one of my favorite speakers. Br. Hoblos is very inspirational, and he is very humble. The lecture he gave was aboutحسن ظن which means good assumptions.
My experience at the event was really good because I got to meet him and shake hands with him. Br. Hoblos shared a Hadith with us. The Hadith was إنما الأعمال بالنيات which means actions are judged by intentions.
After the event whoever was staying for the sleepover went to the soccer dome. We had a lot of fun at the dome. After the dome we had pizza. After pizza we had donuts from Krispy Kreme and then we went to sleep.
This day was very adventurous and exciting! I hope I get more experiences like this one.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ
Brother Mohamed Hoblos is a really inspiring speaker. When Br Hoblos came to Jame Masjid Mississauga, he gave two lectures which were full of knowledge and wisdom. His lecture before the Jummah prayer was about حسن الظن and his second lecture was about actions and how they are judged by intentions from the Hadith.
After Maghrib Salah there were a few Quran recitations and I was one of them. After my recitation there were more people after me so then there were reciters until Isha. After Isha Salah, Br Hoblos came for his speech.
After his speech there was a Masjid sleepover. In the sleepover, we went to a soccer dome and played for an hour. After that, there was Qiyamul Layl. Then after Qiyamul Layl, there were Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
This was my experience at this amazing event.
Mohammed Hoblos Event

Br. Mohammed Hoblos visited us at Jame Masjid Mississauga on December 29, 2023. He delivered two lectures to us. The first one was before Jumma and the second one was after Salatul Isha. Both of the lectures were really detailed, inspiring, and it had a lot of beneficial knowledge.
The topic for the lecture was aboutحٌسن الظّن meaning good assumptions. The other lecture was based on the Hadith إِنَّمَا الْأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّات which means action are based on their intentions. He went in depth on this Hadith for approximately 2 hours.
My personal experience at this event was really satisfactory. There were around 3000+ people in this event. The masjid was packed to the brim الحمد لِلَّٰهِ. When I turned around, I saw many people pushing each other in the back to get a spot. But the volunteers calmed the situation down.
After the Halaqa, he did a Q and A session, and he went in depth with a few questions. Someone had asked him about something he had said at a different halaqa, which was “my father owns me” and he asked him what would you say about this? He answered this question for about 30 minutes. He basically talked about how to respect your parents and how you shouldn’t leave them to do their own thing. After the last question he allowed everybody in the prayer hall to shake his hand.
The masjid also held an overnight program for the youth which was a lot of fun. We had a lot of food and things to do. I would like to thank the management and the volunteers for holding this event. It was very beneficial.
My Experience with Mohammed Hoblos

Br. Mohammed Hoblos recently visited us at Jame Masjid Mississauga (IPC). He is a very knowledgeable speaker, and he is very inspiring to our Ummah. This individual has a great passion of helping to revive our Ummah and trying his best to make sure that our brothers and sisters are on the straight path. Br. Mohammed Hoblos also has a very creative way of delivering his speech, as he makes them entertaining and serious both at the same time, which leaves a mark on the listeners mind and makes them reflect the topic onto their life.
Br. Hoblos shared a word with us حسن الظن (good assumptions). This word cannot be applied to everyone for e.g. If you are doing business with a new person, you would have to do everything on paper, so you don't get into a bad business deal. If you judge a person with حسن الظن and you don’t know his past that wouldn’t be the right thing to do. To you he's a complete stranger and he could do anything with the money, so you have good intentions about him, but you also use your intellect wisely.
The Second Lecture
This profound speaker talked about a Hadith that is in the starting of every Hadith book and this Hadith is إِنَّمَا الْأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّاتِ (Indeed actions are judged by their intentions). He stretched on this topic for at least 1 ½ to 2 hours, but I learnt something new every minute of the speech.
After the lecture he did a Q&A and there was one question which was “Does your father own you?” ..... This question was so serious, and he made sure that everyone understood that their father owns them.
Overall, I had a great time learning from him. Someone even said the Shahadah. I pray that we get a chance to host him, and many speakers like him إن شاء الله.
