Overview:
IPC Academy, Mississauga, Ontario seeks an Ontario-certified or equivalent Principal to work within a professional learning community and who can lead within a diverse population of staff, students, and families. We are looking for candidates with strong content knowledge, and support and supervise staff who plan lessons with clear learning objectives that engage and inspire the students and provide strategic direction in the school. Well-versed with Ontario curricula, assess teaching methods, monitor student achievement, encourage parent involvement, revise policies and procedures, help in hiring and evaluating staff, and oversee facilities.
Eligibility:
Preferred Candidate must have Ontario principal’s qualifications or equivalent, be an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT), and possess B. Ed. Degree or equivalent education and at least two years of work experience in a similar capacity would be an asset. The appropriate candidate should have a demonstrated history of proven success. This is demonstrated by the development and implementation of curriculum and academic programs that incorporate a holistic approach to education. This candidate will work in cooperation with school administration to ensure the school’s mission and vision are effectively implemented and that the school meets changing student needs and consistently exceeds all stakeholder expectations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and administration skills are imperative. Candidate must be committed to Standards of Practice and Ethical Standards as outlined by the OCT. Knowledge of Islamic principles and their integrated teaching application is a key focus.
