We are happy to announce that we have two young new Khateebs for 2nd Jumuah - Fridays at 1:40pm. Both are from our local community and are the fruits of our local Islamic education and will be alternating leading 2nd Jumuah each week.


  • Hafiz Sarmad Sajid

  • Passionate and experienced in the studies of various subjects in Islam. His main expertise is in teaching Quran with proper Makharij Tajweedand Ahkaam to children of various ages. Devoted to teaching others and interacting with the community.

  • He has a Diploma in the Basics of Hadith under the guidance of Sheikh Zainul Abideen (previously from Madina University) and has won multiple awards for 1st Place in Qur'an Recitation.

  • Hafiz Mohammed Akber Ali

  • Haafidh, certified by Jamiatul Khayria (department of Quran and Hifz), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

  • Studied basics of Islam from various teachers (Principles of fiqh, Aqeedah, Usul, etc)

  • Qualified and experienced in Dawn for over 4 years

Please join us on the coming Friday November 25th for a special Seniors Program, with guest speaker Dr. Salma W. Khan on the topic of Diabetes and its Prevention. The program will be held in the mosque banquet hall (in the basement) after 1st Jumuah, at 1:30pm, and will be followed by lunch.

Dr. Saima W Khan is a Family Physician with a dual focus practice in Intervention Pain Medicine and Obesity Medicine She is a graduate of the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, at Western University. She has been practicing in the community for the past 12 years. Her practice is at Mavis Medix near Square One area where she provides consultations to people with chronic pain and weight issues.

For those with mobility challenges, note that an elevator is available to take you to the basement from the Sisters or Brothers floors. You can wear your shoes in the banquet hall, and there is a provision to hang your coats.


The program is free of cost, and donations are encouraged.

We have a unique program on “Qur’an and Science” in which Mr. Mumtaz Khan will talk about “Seven Skies in light of Qur’an”


Brother Mumtaz Khan is a Certified Management Consultant by profession and has also attained his CPA and MBA, he is also an Organizer of The Quran and Science Thinkers Forum Canada that explore signs of Allah in the Design of the Universe.


The program will start after the first Juma Salat at 2:30 pm On Friday 4th November, in the Masjid Banquet Hall. You all are requested to come with your family and friends so they can get benefit from this program.


Food would be served at the end of the program.
